Im reading the fourth book in the Eragon series which is called Inheritance and it is written by Christopher Paolini. So far the book is pretty good and has a lot of action in it. It also has a lot of chapters in it. I've read up to 400 some thing pages and have about 300 more. I think i should be done with the book by the end of this month at the rate i'm going through the book.
The book is an one of those syfy-fantasy books, the other books in the series are: Eragon, ,Brisinger. so far a favorite quote of mine in the book is when the child named Elva says "I am not in your debt, go find another child to win your wars." which I find kind of ironic cause the quote sounds familiar to me. also some thing that confuses me a little in the book is when Eragons half brother Murtagh says to Nasuada that he wants to be able to be with his brother and get along like they should when most of the book he's been trying to kill Eragon.
So far the book is pretty good, because it starts off with this battle where Eragons cousin Roran is almost flatened by an entire castle wall that fell, but only lived cause he was under the giant frame for the gate. So Eragon helped him fight off a guard by killing him with his sword, that he calls brisingr. Then later on Roran captures one city in 3 days I think and returns to the main camp. when he returns Eragon, Roran, and the rest of the Varden army capture another city near the Vardens camp. Then Eragon flies to this place so he can find some thing that can help win the war and that is where I stopped reading for now.
I'm sorry, you probably said this already, but I missed it: Have you read the other books in the series? If so, how does this one compare?
ReplyDeleteWhat is a theme you see developing? Other than adding to his fortune, why do you think Paolini wrote this the way he did? Murtagh sounds like a complex character. True? Does that make him more interesting?
I like the quotation you used. It builds a theme. Are there a lot of people affected by the war(?) who have nothing to gain in the outcome and are innocent bystanders?
Please go back and proofread carefully. Only the titles of the books should be italicized. Get someone to help you proofread, if you can.
Also, could you add a title? Thanks.
