I have read to part II, page 74. In the book so far Alexandra has came up with a plan to take out two more loans to buy more land, so that they will in five years have enough money to pay back all the debt and also buy more land. I think this book is very good because it shows a time of depression for farmers that I have also heard stories about with my grandfather's farms. I think the author wrote this book to show how she lived. I still think the theme is that guys are not always stronger than girls. With this quote it shows that men are sometimes girly cause they do not have masculine traits. " Oscar could not grow a mustache; his pale face was bare as an egg and hes white eyebrows gave it an empty look."
